Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai reported significant growth in the company’s consumer AI products during its Q2 2025 earnings call. Google Search’s AI Overviews, available in 200 countries and territories, now reaches 2 billion monthly users, up from 1.5 billion in May.
The Gemini app has also seen rapid adoption, climbing to 450 million monthly active users. Pichai noted that daily requests through Gemini have increased by more than 50% since the first quarter.
Across its platforms, Google is processing more AI-related data than ever. The company said it handled 980 trillion monthly tokens in July, doubling the 480 trillion reported at its developer conference in May.
Pichai highlighted the figures as evidence of growing engagement with Google’s AI tools worldwide.
